Excellence programs

At Forest Hill State School, we offer students the following Excellence Opportunities:

Individual Learning Plans:

Classroom Teachers work with specialist staff to create Individual Learning Plans for students who are working above one or more of the key learning areas.

Robotics:

Through the Scientist in Schools Program, students from years 3-6 have the opportunity to be exposed to different robotics and drone challenges facilitated by a visiting expert.  Robotics programs are accessible to all teaching staff to integrate into their classroom curriculum.  Students will also be offered the chance to use the new Lego WeDo software as part of a lunch time club.

Clubs:

Lunchtime activities are open to all students.  Activities include organised games on the oval, computers, board and card games in the library and the Teacher instructed EngQuest.

Sporting Programs:

Forest Hill offers students compete in school Cross country and Athletics carnivals.   Representative teams to go further on are then determined by pre-set performance times.

Student Council:

Students are elected and will work on school and community based events.  This involves students meeting regularly with the school administration.
